LONGER SCRIPT (perhaps better for emails):
“Hey ____,
Hope you’re looking forward to your first Christmas in your new home! I was thinking about you and wanted to send you a friendly reminder to make sure you fill out your Homestead Exemption form by the beginning of the year. Filing this exemption is FREE of charge, super easy to complete, and will help you combat rising Texas property taxes. You may also start getting official looking letters in the mail to pay a fee to file for your homestead exemption…those letters are a scam and please throw them away. This is a free and super simple process, let me know if you need any help locating the form on the county website.
